Once y...We shouldn't sweeten anything really.

Once you stop eating refined sugar you realise your past-life food was grotesquely over-sweet!

There is enough sugar in fruits and vegetables to give us energy. Then a little sugar in bread to react with the yeast, the odd sweet spoon in pasta sauce, a bit of soymilk, a few bananas in your baking and hey-presto! You're (refined) sugar free.

I also prefer water with a splash of juice (maybe 20% juice) or with soda water if I'm feeling fancy. Saves money too!

Other things I do include; eating fruit, or baking using only bananas to replace eggs, occasionally one spoonful of treacle and dried or fresh fruit. I also make "chocolate". Blend nuts and seeds, raisins, sultanas or dates, cocoa, and coconut oil - add water if you need it to be a little more doughy, then roll into balls, roll them in coconut and set in the fridge. Sultanas are great because they don't spike your insulin levels too quickly.

I love being sugar free, it's cheap, stops me from getting sick and makes my body feel strong and healthful.

JessAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
